Job Duties:

Performs general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials.

Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

Maintain a safe and clean environment for associates and guests by performing tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, moving, cleaning, ensuring office supplies are stocked, etc.

Maintains the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.  Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs and makes recommendations to resolve maintenance issues.  This could include basic repairs such as dry wall and painting as an example.

May be asked to oversee vendors while onsite (and validating that the repairs and replacements were performed).

Assist with tracking all maintenance and building activities including documenting requests and work orders in Company’s work order system and ensuring they are properly closed out to resolution.

Prepares meetings and conference rooms, arranging tables and chairs as requested.  May set up audio/visual equipment, flip charts and TV’s within conference rooms and pick up when completed.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

2 years of experience in building maintenance.

 

Required Skills:

Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more

Must be willing to work after hours as needed

Communication – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. This includes the ability to describe or explain complex processes and issues in a concise manner

Critical thinking – Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions
