Keep reading!\r\r\rFLSA Compliance Specialist - Payroll / HR\r\rThe FLSA Compliance Specialist assists Insperity clients in their efforts to comply with Department of Labor (DOL) guidelines governing the Fair Labor Standards Act, specific state laws regulating wage and hour issues, and related regulations and administrative decisions, thereby contributing to clients’ and Insperity’s profitability, mission, and goals.\r\r\rUnder general supervision and moderate decision-making:\r\r Provides support, resource information and feedback to clients as well as internal service providers, supervisors, and managers regarding requirements for compliance with FLSA.\r Provides FLSA (wage and hour) review service for MidMarket clients to assist with its compliance with FLSA and similar state laws and regulations.\r Assists internal service providers with basic analysis of client data so that they can perform FLSA review service delivery to clients.\r Assist with special FLSA review service when appropriate.\r Reviews job descriptions and provides information related to job classification for positions under evaluation by client and Corporate HR.\r Researches federal and state requirements regarding job classifications and payment of wages and overtime compensation.\r Seeks additional guidance from management on escalated issues when necessary.\r Maintains data and file documentation for the FLSA review service according to current procedures.\r Enters data and tracks FLSA review service activity for reporting needs for HR Administrative Compliance and the company.\r Utilizes Access, Excel, Word, Internet, Insperity OneVoice service tracking to accomplish the basic functions of the job.\r Completes FLSA team and/or HR Administrative Compliance special projects as assigned.\r\r

Job Requirements
\r High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.\r 2-4 years of experience in general business is required.\r\r\r Principles, practices, and procedures of general business including knowledge of: Fair Labor Standards Act, specific state laws regulating wage and hour issues, and related regulations and administrative decisions regarding job exemption classifications and payment of wages and overtime.\r Effective customer service skills; communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing; works efficiently and effectively under narrow time constraints; follows verbal and written instructions; has strong attention to detail; works independently under moderate supervision; and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment; and maintains a professional demeanor, yet remains assertive with clients regarding compliance issues.\r Familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures, and equipment; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, business letter writing, and arithmetic; organizing and efficiently maintaining files; typing from clear, straight copy at 50 wpm; word processing preferably Word Perfect and Data Base.\r\r\rAt Insperity, we believe diversity is the quality of leadership.
