Job Description Working as a part of Equities Financial Resource Management (FRM) assigned to Equity Derivatives in particular, the role would be responsible for optimising the capital footprint of the division and analysing the liquidity and funding position and constraints. The mandate is to work on the following 1) Optimisation of regulatory and economic capital. 2) Help the business be more proactive with the implementation of new regulations (eg. FRTB) and also promote and facilitate legal entity landscape changes. 3) Help deliver the Liquidity and funding costs optimisation strategic agenda of the Total Equities division 4) Support business management reporting and other initiatives Area Overview Equities FRM, is a Business side function mandated to optimize and better govern regulatory and economic capital usage, and also source, analyze and optimize other financial resources like balance sheet and funding availability and costs.

Key Responsibilities: • Balance sheet optimisation and liquidity management for Equity Derivatives which includes: • Working with the relevant partners to improve VaR and Stress models and other components for Market Risk capital (Standardised), particularly pertaining to innovative and heavily structured Exotic and Hybrids deals • Analyse and price new structures and business initiatives from the reg and economic capital viewpoint. • Working with the relevant quant and trade capture teams to improve the counterparty credit RWA metrics. • Analyse concentrations of GSIB capital and work on mitigating structures. • Constant improvement of business reports and analytics to facilitate better decision making • Analyse and quantify the impact from different liquidity sources (including capital footprint) and work with partners in treasury to implement as well as increase transparency on funding constraints for the business • Continuous interaction with the Structured Notes and Investor Services divisions (which are outside of Equity Derivatives but close partners) to maximise efficiency and knowledge propagation across Equities Person Specification The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record in the equity structured products space, a very good understanding of the risks and the business profile of structured derivatives, including Equity Linked Notes and Certificates Issuance. Also be confident in regulatory capital terminology, including Basel rules, FRTB, Liquidity Coverage ratio and others. They would be able to demonstrate competence with VaR and Stress models.
