Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Equipment Operator / Driver to support Process and Pipeline Services in Broussard, LA.

Essential Responsibilities:

Operating DOT vehicles

Working within DOT rules and regulations.

Maintains all required log books and inspection reports for DOT operations.

Maintains assigned equipment, performs daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.

Proficiently performs equipment inspection and maintenance as requested and completes paperwork.

Will be helping in yard as needed with shipping and receiving and  loading and unloading equipment

Operating forklift to load and unload and overhead crane as needed

Conducts all business activities in accordance with company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and core values

Job requires 20% travel

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsements

2 years of driving experience under DOT guidelines

Forklift experience

Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Consent to taking and able to pass drug screen, criminal background check and a DOT physical.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Ability to use common hand tools.

Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents, drawings, parts lists and follow formal procedures.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Basic computer skills.

Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays.

Must be willing to be on call 24/7

Desired Characteristics:

Oilfield related driving experience

Prior equipment operation experience
