As the Enterprise Business Development Sr. Account Manager, your primary responsibilities are to cultivate and build relationships with advisory leadership within our strategic partners. You will influence and leverage these centers of influence to gain distribution efficiencies that will strengthen our reputation as a partner of choice in select local markets and enhance Lincolns cross-enterprise presence at these firms. This will include partnering closely with Lincolns local market wealth protection teams to develop solutions and programs that will drive key strategic initiatives for LFGD through vertical and horizontal growth and access to the right buying units.
Builds and cultivates relationships with advisory leadership which includes regional managers, complex managers, sales managers, branch managers and other centers of influence that are aligned to revenue and interested in and/or assist in delivering intellectual capital and resources around wealth protection and retirement to advisors
Executes on value proposition to position and market Lincoln as a partner of choice for field advisory leadership around wealth protection and retirement
Develops and maintains relationships with firm specialists to help further align strategic engagement at the local level
Integrates alignment with field advisory local market business plans and revenue goals
Serves as a cross-business point person for LFD wholesalers, helping identify new opportunities while providing a clear path and access to the right buyers at each firm
Develops solutions and formalizes business plans that drive vertical and horizontal sales growth across Lincolns suite of solutions
Partners with Lincoln internal stakeholders in sales and sales management on engagement and execution of LFGD strategies that strengthen our partnerships, create distribution efficiencies and drive additional revenue
Formalizes and executes on initiatives and solutions that drive advisor retention, development/cross sell, and acquisition
Collaborates with relationship management and marketing (internal stakeholders) to leverage internal data, research and partner firm intelligence that will support business strategies and engagement at the local level
Leads tactical execution that will support and enhance success for Lincoln key initiatives and local level business plans
Responsible for reporting on business planning, local level engagement, and overall impact within targeted footprint
Manages to territory budget
Establishes relationships and partnerships with 3rd party partners for leverage and additional access in key areas of focus
Undergraduate degree or 4 years of comparable work experience
FINRA Series6 and63 required
FINRA Series 7 and 66 preferred
3-5 years of experience in financial services sales and/or relationship management that directly aligns with specific responsibilities for this position
Previous experience within the Wirehouse channel preferred
A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
Drives performance targets to completion
Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Demonstrates advanced relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues) and external clients.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
