This position requires an individual with strong technical skills relating to the deployment of complex Information solutions in the manufacturing industry. This will include defining requirements, detailed design, hardware and software engineering, system start-up, and customer training.
The individual should have experience developing with the .NET application stack, including C# and SQL Server. In a technical role an individual will be a contributing part of a project team. Participating in start-up assignments will also be required. Involvement with orders/projects in the range of $100K to $5M, with the quantity of orders/projects per year in the range of 1-10. Travel averages about 25% of time however, can flex up to 50% a few times per year.
Analyzes customer's requirements to determine the optimal information solution and determines applicable configuration/architecture.
Make recommendations for improvements and assist Project Manager to propose these to the customer.
Participates in the design, implementation, test and startup phases of complex systems projects.
Uses technologies used in standard offerings, new applications and extensions of current architectures or software packages.
Responsible for using application solution-related or technology-related best practices on assigned projects.
Responsible for identifying and communicating potential application solution-related or technology-related best practices.
Assist Project Manager with technical issues and determine changes which may/can have commercial/scheduling impact.
May provides on-site system start-up as required.
Provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status as required and contribute to project review meetings.
Participate in organizing, assigning, reviewing software development, direct functional specification development and planning for integrated customer witness testing.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or Chemical Engineering.
2 years' experience in the design and implementation of business information systems in the manufacturing domain.
2 years' experience working on agile development teams utilizing DevOps development lifecycle, work item tracking, software revision control, release management, and best practices in software development.
Experience working with the .NET technology stack, including C#, SQL Server, Business Intelligence, Web and Windows Services.
2 years' experience throughout the project lifecycle from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support.
Must have the ability to travel an average of about 25% of the time; however, travel can flex up to 50% a few times per year.
Can work in Mayfield Heights, OH or work at another Rockwell Automation facility in the United States. Preferred locations: Atlanta, GA; Exton, PA

Further education in engineering, computer science or project management.
Experience with RA Products hardware and software product suites (ControlLogix, Logix 5000, FT View, FTBatch, FT Historian and FT VantagePoint.)
Experience in interfacing information systems to the factory automation layer through data historians, OPC servers, or other mechanisms.
Experience in interfacing information systems to ERP and other peer external manufacturing systems.
Experience with Enterprise integration products such as Apache Camel or Mulesoft.
Working knowledge of pertinent industry concepts and standards as they pertain to manufacturing information solutions. (E.g. MESA, ISA S95, ISA-S88, B2MML, etc.)
