Engineer- Geotechnical (II, III) Job

Are you our next Engineer- Geotechnical (II, III)?

The Engineer- Geotechnical (II, III) will provide technical analysis and engineering evaluations as required to support mine progression life-cycle construction projects within the Minerals business including storm water BMPs, clay settling areas, stream crossings and infrastructure crossings, and water control structures. Provide technical support for day-to-day activities for mining operations. Assist in developing and maintaining short-term and long-term clay disposal plans in support of operational decisions and capital planning. Coordinate periodic sampling and testing programs to track fill progress and measure clay and water inventories. Compile and review monitoring data pertaining to the operation of clay settling areas and associated ancillary features.

What will you do?

Technical analysis and engineering evaluations for BMPs and other mine progression projects.

Development and maintenance of short and long-term clay disposal plans.

Coordination of associated sampling and testing programs.

Compilation, review, and reporting of monitoring data.

Assistance in developing and maintaining capital budgets and assistance with project controls.

Miscellaneous job related duties including project coordination with minerals operations teams and functional groups.

What do you need for this role?

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related engineering discipline required.

ME or MS in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related engineering discipline preferred.

Demonstrated engineering and design experience preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and GIS required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, GIS, and ICPR preferred.

Must be a team player and have positive influence on Mosaic and contractor workforce.

Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Must be able to work effectively with third party engineers and contractors as well as minerals business unit operations and functional teams

Engineer II

2-5 Surface mining or heavy construction experience required.

PE license or eligible to take the PE exam in FL within 2 years

Engineer III

5 years of experience in Surface mining or heavy construction experience with exposure to environmental and safety compliance and storm water management elements required.

PE license or eligible to take the PE exam in FL within 1 year
