The Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses (\u201cCEB\u201d) are wholly owned subsidiaries of Consolidated Edison, Inc. (\u201cCEI\u201d). The CEBs develop, own and operate renewable energy projects and provide energy services to wholesale, commercial and government customers throughout the United States.

Our Con Edison Energy Group is looking for an Energy Analyst to join its team. Con Edison Energy is an experienced power and natural gas marketer serving as a turnkey energy asset manager. We provide customized energy management services to energy asset owners, renewable asset developers, and load-serving entities. We are active in the New England, New York, PJM, ERCOT, and California Independent System Operator markets (ISOs).We provide a comprehensive set of services, ranging from operational consulting and strategic planning to core logistical services such as bidding and scheduling, fuel management, and hedge execution.We currently provide energy management services to asset owners. We are active on all major Northeast natural gas pipelines.Our services are designed to handle all front-office, mid-office and back-office functions required to optimize the value of merchant energy assets and load portfolios.
The Energy Analyst, under the direction of the Operations Manager, is responsible for various ISO bidding and operational functions associated our EMA clients. This includes day-ahead and real-time bid submittals, intra-day monitoring of fuel use and markets, coordinating with clients for market updates as well as gas desk for balancing, miscellaneous reporting and evaluating and executing short term hedging opportunities. It is a requirement that the Energy Analyst participate in the off-hour and weekend on-call rotation.

Four year engineering/technical or business degree.  Master\u2019s degree a plus


 0 - 5 years related experience in electric markets preferred
Knowledge of energy markets
Knowledge of ISO market rules
Excellent technical, analytical and communication skills
Will be required to be available for off-hours operations
High energy level, self motivated and innovative
