Our client, a top international Pharmaceutical/Healthcare firm, is currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist for a 6 month contract position with the opportunity for an extension. \u00a0The position is located in East Hanover, NJ. \r

The hours for this position are as follows\r

\tMonday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm\r

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):\r
\u00a0\r
The selected candidate will conduct internal investigations, as assigned by the BPO/Head of Employee Relations, of complaints relating to any actual or apparent violations of law or ethical standards.\u00a0 These include investigations into concerns of:\u00a0 discrimination, sexual and other prohibited harassment, retaliation and other violations of Company policies.\r
Specific Responsibilities: \r
\r
\tDevelop investigation strategy and work closely with Employee Relations team members to seek guidance as may be necessary. \u00a0Conduct investigations in compliance with established internal procedures.\r
\tDevelop and maintain appropriate investigative documentation, including detailed investigation notes and the completion of an investigative Pro-Forma document to be provided to the Business Practices Officer and the Internal Review Committee (IRC.)\u00a0 (The IRC is an internal cross-functional and/or cross divisional team that meets, to discuss internal inquiries and investigations into substantiated allegations of misconduct, to recommend to management what, if any, action should be taken in response to substantiated allegations.)
\r
\tPresent factual summaries of investigation results to the IRC (in writing via Pro-Forma and verbally as needed) to enable the team to reach factual case conclusions and to agree on a recommendation for sanctions and remedial action, if any.\r
\tConsistently demonstrate appropriate confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity in handling all investigation matters\r

Qualifications:\r
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of similar experience.\u00a0 Demonstrated application of employment law knowledge (e.g.\u00a0 HR experience: including HRBP or Employee Relations experience) OR significant applied experience in investigations/interviewing skills gained via roles in e.g. Compliance, Security,\u00a0 Audit functions, Legal etc.\u00a0 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\u00a0 Proficiently with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).\r
