Position Summary

This position includes managing and planning overall Electrical project work and subcontractors teams. Requires experience in electrical and instrumentation installations and startup.

Under general supervision the superintendent exercises independent judgment and discretion and is responsible for applying knowledge of administrative management practices.

Duties involve either work directly related to general business operations or supervising and overseeing the work of others.

Supervisory responsibilities include directly planning, organizing and controlling the activities of two or more individuals.

The individual may perform some of the same activities as the employees who are supervised; however, this is limited and performance is measured by results obtained through others.

Ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits.


5 - 8 years’ experience with BS Engineering Degree; 8 - 12 years without BS degree.

Minimum of 15 years of Construction Experience working with contractors.

Experience I&C and MEP background that has worked on Industrial sites.

Prior experience with Managing Contractors.

OSHA 30 training preferred.

Construction experience must include site infrastructure, support buildings and process unit power distribution.

Experienced in the installation, calibration and start-up of building HVAC controls; fire safety systems, control panels, communication and security systems; process controls including DCS/PLC panels; and inline process instrumentation.

Experience in the construction of plant support facilities, clean chemical manufacturing facilities, microelectronics or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities is desired

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk across long distances over potential rough terrain. The ability to climb stairs and ladders to inspect the work is also required. Exposure to weather elements while in the field.
