We currently have an opening for a Electrical Maintenance Planner at our Warrick, IN location.
As a Planner, you will bring together all the resources (labor, materials, equipment, special tools, etc.) required to accomplish planned jobs in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner to enable continuity of production and minimal equipment downtime. Primary areas will include: preparing job plans and coordinating planned work schedules with production.
The Electrical Maintenance Planner is responsible for planned maintenance work, which incorporates cost, importance, labor, materials, etc that is required. The planning of the work is to ensure that when the work is scheduled it can be completed with the least interruption to operations and the most efficient use of maintenance resources. Once work has been planned and material availability has been assured, work scheduling can be addressed. This position combines the job functions of both a Planner and Scheduler.
Daily management of area(s) back log.
Maintain 2-4 week complete ready back log that is in alignment with customer needs.
Provides labor and costs estimates.
Works with area craft and walks the job in order to develop complete job packages.
Proficient utilization of the Alcoa CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Completes work orders in the Alcoa CMMS to facilitate equipment histories.
Incorporates requested changes/revisions, and/or improvements into the Alcoa CMMS.
Closes works orders in the Alcoa CMMS.
Uses BOM’s and other work instruction to initiate kits.
Use of daily management for kit status and tracking.
Coordinates with storeroom personnel and procurement to ensure kit is complete within the required time line.
Verifies completed kit for content accuracy.
Maintains accurate Bill of Materials (BOM’s).
Updates PM/PdM activities in the Alcoa CMMS.
Tracking of schedule completion including carry over work.
Calculates work center labor hour capacity.
Reviews and organizes ready back logs for most efficient execution.
Creates preliminary weekly maintenance schedules based on work center capacity and priorities of the production area.
Organizes, directs and coordinates weekly scheduling meetings with production.
Finalizes and communicates weekly maintenance schedules.
Provides the physical assembly and delivery of planned job packages.
High School education or GED.
2 years of maintenance planning and electrical craft experience in an industrial environment.
Good understanding of machinery and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Should have excellent organizational and planning skills and be a recognized leader.
Reading and math skills are required along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce field sketched.
Strong computer sills.
Incumbent must have initiative and drive and a desire to work in a dynamic work environment.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Additional training in a vocational or technical school.
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field.
Working aptutide with a CMMS, Oracle, and associated reporting software.
