We have summer intern opportunities for Electrical Engineering majors

in the areas of product development/design, testing and quality assurance,

research, and integrated circuit design. Under the leadership of senior engineers,

you will use state-of-the-art engineering tools and methods to design/develop

products to be used by physicians including pacemakers, and implantable

defibrillators, neuro-stimulators, drug pumps and other implantable medical

devices. Depending on position, responsibilities may include: perform design tests to evaluate and verify

current designs according to specified results; use data obtained from

technician support to verify the functionality of product design and draw

conclusions for evaluation; design product components, circuitry, or hardware,

from detailed concept descriptions; troubleshoot and problem solve portions of

a design project; develop test methodology and specifications and perform such

tests; collect and analyze physiologic signals and other data; construct and

design the hardware and software tools necessary to perform experimental

protocols; design hardware and software tools that allow the human body’s

complex signals to be collected and analyzed; use of various tools such as

Labview, Matlab, etc.

Minimum Requirements (Must Haves):

Working toward a MS in Electrical Engineering

To be considered for a MS Level internship,candidates must have graduate school courses completed

Minimum of a 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPArequired

Graduate level candidates must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States

Able to participate full time for 11-12 weeks, in1 of our 2 cohorts:

Cohort 1:Tuesday, May 29 - Friday, August 17

Cohort 2:Monday, June 18 - Friday, August 31

Preferred Requirements (Nice to Haves):

Prior work on projects in a team environment ispreferred

Relevant academic projects, internship or labexperience preferred

Knowledge of one or more of the following ispreferred: IC design, signal processing, Labview, Matlab, basic electricalengineering concepts of design, sensor technologies, schematics, RF

BioMed knowledge a plus but not required
