Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO)

This opportunity is within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). The EPMO was established by the Enterprise Project Transformation (EPMT) effort that was launched in 2017 to enhance the ownership, organizational structure, standardization, and oversight of project management functions across the company. Significant change in how Wells Fargo governs, organizes, manages and executes projects is vital, not only to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects, but also to reduce our operational risk.

Enterprise Project Management Continuous Improvement and Engagement (EPMCIE) team

The mission of the EPMCIE team within the EPMO is to enable the project management community to pursue excellence by providing relevant, timely communications; targeted learning opportunities; change management support; continuous improvement leadership; and meaningful engagement opportunities.

This role will report to the leader of the EPMCIE team, and is primarily responsible for developing and driving communication strategy; building the EPMO brand; and guiding and collaborating with communications consultants, communication content subject matter experts and others to produce timely, relevant, quality communications.

Key responsibilities include executing or overseeing the following:

Development, execution, and ongoing evaluation of communications strategy

Development and management of EPMO Communication-related processes, tools, templates and oversight of their use

Use of one common “voice” in communications, templates, websites.

Build out of brand-specific resources for others in the EPMO: EPMO key messages, FAQs, writing guidelines, roles and responsibilities, etc.

Design and management of an EPMO Communications site that will showcase our communication channels, templates, artifacts, processes

Consultation with teams/leads as needed to help with communication planning/strategizing

Identification and resolution of communications-related issues both within and outside of the EPMO

Integration of communications activities with continuous improvement, change management, and other EPMO functions

Delivery of timely, relevant, quality communications to appropriate audiences

Relationship management with communications partners within and outside of the EPMO

Ongoing evaluation and implementation of communication continuous improvement activities

Communications governance activities

Required Qualifications:

6 year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

Desired Qualifications:

6 years of communications experience

6 years of experience creating senior or executive level communications

Experience writing and editing internal communications and training-related materials in a corporate environment or financial institution

Experience in developing and implementing multi-channel communication campaigns

Experience developing and executing communication strategies by collaborating with large, matrixed teams

Experience applying Wells Fargo Style Guide and brand standards

Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution

Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
