Ralph Lauren is seeking a strategic and visionary content creator to help us reinvent the way we create and distribute lifestyle content, including the way we tell the story of our brand, in step with the modern media landscape. Overseeing RL Magazine and related sub-properties, this person will spearhead the development of conversation-driving content that brings the World of Ralph Lauren to life in exciting, impactful new ways.


Partner closely with brand and design leads to understand seasonal and ongoing narrative arc for respective brand/division; translate this into program of lifestyle content that brings these concepts, inspirations, and stories to life.

Partner with brand marketing and social leads to create content that flows across the ecosystem, from site, including RL Mag, to Instagram and other channels.

Oversee lifestyle editorial calendar and ensure all deadlines are hit.

Closely monitor performance metrics, using data to inform decision making where relevant.

Work closely with leaders in design and marketing to bring seasonal concepts and inspirations to life in compelling, editorially driven ways.

Coordinate with company leaders across Ralph Lauren divisions to ensure significant brand and company initiatives are covered.

Maintain and grow a roster of top-tier freelance talent across relevant areas.

Work with copy editors and fact-checkers to ensure accuracy of all content.

Represent RL Mag in presentations to company leadership.

Stay abreast of trends in our business and in the culture at large, continually evolving and adapting our approach to stay relevant while remaining true to the iconic brand DNA or Ralph Lauren.

5-7 years of experience as an editor at a relevant fashion and lifestyle publication

A deep appreciation and understanding for the Ralph Lauren brand, as well as the broader landscape of fashion, luxury, lifestyle, and innovation

Must be an idea machine, with a rare ability to see spot trends and see potential stories

Must have an uncommonly sharp wit and ability to write smart, concise display copy

A Rolodex of writers, photographers, and other content creators across relevant lifestyle beats

Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills, plus the ability to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team

Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising (or comparable work experience)

Savvy understanding of social media and passion for emerging digital technologies.
