Responsible for the installation, repairs, maintenance, and adjustment of instruments and test equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible to support safety efforts in his/her department, participates in programs and systems to promote a safety culture at the site.
Promptly and timely complies with site\u2019s quality system databases (CPAR, Customer Complaints, QSA, etc.).
Performs safety behavior observations
Intervenes when unsafe acts or conditions are encountered.
Understands, supports, and strictly adheres to site standards, policies, and procedures relevant to safety, industrial hygiene, security/CTPAT requirements, and environmental.
Audits conformance to safety standards.
Participates in incident investigations identifying root causes and appropriate corrective action to improve safety and environmental performance in the area.
Responsible for installing electrical equipment, instrumentation, and related equipment using drawings and manuals supplied (PLC, DCS, MCC, Field Instruments, Control Panels, Valves, HVAC, Lighting, UPS, Transformers, Motors, Conduit, Cables).
Responsible for overhauls, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs PM work on instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
Responsible for keeping accurate records of work performed, time spent on jobs, and materials used.
Responsible for recommending and implementing improvement ideas/methods for maintenance to lower costs and to improve equipment performance and reliability, and personnel safety.
Ensures all maintenance practices are in compliance with State and Federal environmental regulations

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one year related experience; or 3 or more years of E&I process manufacturing experience with trade school diploma/certification.
Basic knowledge of computer software/hardware. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Manufacturing software and Lotus Notes for electronic mail.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic working knowledge of the Materials Management and Production Planning modules in SAP as well as Excel and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office, including Access).

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
Work Environment : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
