E-Commerce Planner - GamingBest Buy - Richfield, MN
The E-Commerce Planner will deliver the category online strategy for Gaming, improve the online customer experience and deliver company objectives for their assigned categories. This role has a strong understanding of E-Commerce metrics including Online Revenue, Operating Income and Net Promoter Score, and knowledge of how to drive toward holistic results. The E-Commerce Planner for Gaming and oversees and executes the Digital Merchandising presentation using customer insights and analytics to optimize experience. The E-Commerce Planner will be the strategic support partner for Merchants and Senior Merchants to develop and execute customer focused initiatives online. They will also help with special projects and analysis needed by the E-Commerce Manager.
Responsible for executing the customer experience for Gaming across all E-Commerce sites:
Give input to improve site shopability from the customers point of view by managing how the category is presented in a relevant manner (slotting, sortability, etc) and category findability through facet and attribute optimization.
Partner with non-owned inventory and supply chain teams to ensure category assortment displays appropriately online to deliver ideal customer experience.
Executes Digital Merchandising presentation using a customer, employee, and financial view to prioritize experience based on core E-Commerce capabilities (search, ratings & reviews, personalization, and recommendations, etc) so that the plan aligns to the business priorities.
Understands E-Commerce competitive set and industry best practices to ensure Best Buy has a clear view into strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats within assigned category.
Delivers E-Commerce business objectives and Gaming category strategies across all E-Commerce sites:
Executes Category Conversion, Revenue, Profit, and positive NPS outcomes across all views of BestBuy.com.
Ability to articulate E-Commerce Business Metrics to budget & LY (category conversion, revenue & profit) and drives weekly recommendations to correct negative trend.
Understands business teams financial goals/focus as they change based on business need (revenue, profit or marketing awareness).
Partners with cross-functional teams to understand and deliver the online components of the category strategy. Makes recommendations on assortments and promotions within category.
Optimizes promotional and campaign messaging for the Gaming category:
Timely execution of promotional levers to deliver against strategic category goals.
Partners with E-Commerce Experience Team and Digital Planning teams to optimize promotional effectiveness.
Plans and executes key product launches and campaigns to deliver and drive business results.
Helps online merchandising of œend of life product.
Primary Point of contact for cross-functional partners:
As the E-Commerce expert, shares channel specific insights, learnings and future site enhancements with cross functional partners to plan for and deliver mutual financial goals.
Partners with other planners on cross category initiatives and actively participates in role group meetings.
Partner with Digital Analytics teams to understand new site functionality and leverage where applicable.
Actively evaluates and researches new online functionality as it relates to improving our online customer experience.
3 or more years of years of e-commerce, retail, and/or industry experience in buying, inventory planning, merchandising or online marketing/web analytics
1 or more years of experience in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelors degree or similar experience
6 or more months of experience collaborating in highly matrixed organizations preferred
