JOB SUMMARY:

The main responsibility of the driver recruiter will be to recruit qualified Company and Independent Contractor drivers and maintain a driver application pipeline to fulfill driver needs nationwide at all terminals. The driver recruiter will work closely with and maintain relationships with the onboarding and operations departments. Will work directly with the Driver Recruiting Manager to recruit and place drivers where needed in accordance with the companies goals and expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Recruit and retain the best and safest drivers in the industry

Consult with Manager of Driver recruiting on company and terminal goals

Conduct day-to-day recruiting activities in accordance with company guidelines and policies

Understand and be able to clearly communicate employment benefits of Hub Group Trucking and expectations at the terminal level

Develop a pool of qualified applicants through the use of Tenstreet applications, cold calling, social media, networking, job fairs, trade shows, internet postings

Pre-qualify all applicants and if deemed a good fit, move them quickly (in accordance with company policy) to the next stage in the hiring process

Communicate efficiently with Terminal managers on expectations of drivers for each terminal

Understand and communicate effectively the benefits of Hub Group Trucking to all Company Driver and Independent Contractor applicants

Complete all needed DOT and Hub Group Trucking required background checks, verifications and other qualification criteria efficiently and thoroughly

Work with applicants to gather needed information that will assist in completing applicant process

Must have truck driver recruiting experience

Must have strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of applicants

Strong computer skills - Tenstreet applicant tracking system knowledge a plus

Must be a team player with strong organizational and problem solving skills

Basic D.O.T compliance and transportation knowledge

Needs to be able to work in a fast pace environment and have the ability to multi-task
