Responsibilities :

The Lead Loss Prevention Cast Member is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position and reports to the Loss Prevention Neighborhood Manager.

For Our Guests:

Uses creativity, language, technology and product to bring stories to life for Guests

Asks open ended questions and listens to Guests’ stories

Engages Guests of all ages allowing them to experience Disney stories in a new and creative way

Spends the majority of time Onstage engaging with Guests, acting as a proactive theft deterrent while monitoring entrances/exits and high theft areas in the Store

For Our Cast Members:

Assists Store Leadership Team and/or Guests in response to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) activations

Facilitates the training and proper use of the EAS and camera equipment as applicable; monitors equipment to validate functionality

Identifies situations that create the opportunity for loss/theft. Works with LP Neighborhood Manager to investigate reported concerns and find solutions to loss opportunities

Develop LP Cast Members through teaching and providing effective feedback on their role and responsibilities

Conducts bag/package/coat inspections for Cast Members exiting the Store

For Our Communities:

Deters, leads the response to, and communicates issues of civil unrest/disturbance

Interacts with Mall Security and Local Law Enforcement as appropriate

Participates in Company sponsored events that integrate the Disney brand into the local community

Supports initiatives that give back and have a positive impact on the internal (Store) community and the external community

For The Company

Works in a way that is fair, honest and trustworthy by being a role model

Ensures completion of daily perimeter checks of the Store to identify potential physical security risks

Monitors and ensures compliance with all P&Ps to protect Company assets and to comply with policies and procedures, federal, state/provincial and local employment laws

Completes and reviews Loss Prevention reports as appropriate

After completing Company training and certification, will detain shoplifter(s) as applicable.

Interacts with suspected/detained shoplifters and validates facts involved with theft situations

Works with the LP Neighborhood Manager/Sr. Representative on prosecution decisions

Interacts with Law Enforcement and courts as required during the prosecution process

Basic Qualifications :

Ability to prioritize Guests and tasks

Attention to detail

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

Demonstrated success in working in a team environment

Job may require lifting boxes that weigh up to 40 pounds and climbing a ladder

Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Disney Store grooming Guidelines

Must be available a minimum of three (3) days during the week and open availability on Saturday and Sunday. Able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, weekends and call-in shifts

Preferred Qualifications :

Minimum twelve months Loss Prevention/Security experience within a retail environment

Has a thorough understanding of Loss Prevention and Security procedures, regulations and practices.

Has an understanding of basic Safety practices and procedures
