The

Director of Talent Management will provide enterprise leadership in Performance

Management, Talent Acquisition, Executive Succession Planning, Diversity &

Inclusion, and Employment Brand, Diversity & Inclusion. The strategy, processes

and governance responsibilities of this individual will support the company’s mission to attract, develop, motivate

and reward highly qualified employees who will contribute to growing a

profitable business.

 

Recognizing performance

is a critical element of success for the organization.This individual will have responsibility for

enterprise performance management, ensuring the proper strategy, processes and

tools are in place to increase our focus on a high

performing, valued added team.  Additionally,

this individual will be responsible for developing enterprise leaders’

strengths in assessing and managing performance.

 

This individual will build an

understanding of the global workforce footprint to identify gaps related to

talent, technology, and processes. They, in turn, will be responsible for designing and building world-class

processes and implementing global systems that help identify the best and brightest

talent to address the company’s global

talent needs.

This individual will direct

the forecasting of geographic and functional talent needs on short- and

long-term horizons. This individual

advises enterprise and business unit leaders on workforce trends and shifts, informs them of workforce development needs, and drives talent acquisition decisions

by industry and country to enable business success.

This individual will manage and deliver on Caterpillar’s

Executive Succession Planning on a global basis, assuring the corporation of

continual candidates for key positions in Caterpillar.  Included in the global executive pipeline

function are succession planning and potential

officer and C-Suite identification. 

 

This individual will lead and execute on the

assessment, design, development, and implementation of the corporate diversity

strategy and initiatives to support the global talent acquisition strategy, an inclusive environment, and the company’s business

strategy.

 

This individual

must collaborate closely with the Global Marketing and Brand Director to

provide alignment between the employment brand and the company brand.  This brand management is carried out globally

through talent attraction processes, as well as key development and performance

processes. 

 

 

CUSTOMERS:  Typical internal

customers include the business leaders and HR leaders across the enterprise.

The position will also have contact with external audiences in related to

talent attraction and diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

4-year

degree preferably in a business related function10

years of progressively responsible human resources experience5

years managing multiple of the following functions: succession planning, talent

acquisition, employee development, employment brand, and performance

management.Knowledge of emerging issues, current thinking and

legislation in diversity, inclusion, EEO/AA and work-life

MBA

or other applicable advance educationExperience

leading a global team and HR functionProven track record of managing effectively in a

decentralized environmentProven conflict resolution, influence and

negotiation skills Excellent oral, written and interpersonal

communication skills which are used at

all levels in the organization Ability to work independently in ambiguous,

undefined arenas; risk-taking neededEffective coaching, facilitation, and management

skills Ability to analyze and interpret data and make
