Director of Operations

Primary Function:

Implementing, maintaining, and enhancing ABM Franchising Group’s operations and business systems

used by the Franchise Network.

Department Administration:      

Direct departmental affairs to ensure attainment of the departments objectives.  Safeguard control and

accuracy of department budget while maintaining expenses at or below plan levels.

Operations and Start-Up Reviews:

Implement ABM Franchising Groups operations procedures and policies at all franchise locations

to ensure growth and profitability.

Operations Support:

Provide the franchisees with continuous support in the area of operations such as manpower

planning, delivering profitability, training programs and current industry trends that will provide

our franchises with a competitive edge.

Initial Trainings:

Develop, instruct, and enhance Service Management, Service/Project Supervisor, Business Systems,

and Dispatcher Initial Trainings to ensure the franchisee has a solid understanding of ABM’s Systems.

Business Systems Start-Ups and Reviews:

Develop, coordinate, and control the start-up schedule for all new franchises.  Direct subordinates

to effectively convert a new franchisee from their existing business system.  Support existing franchisees

as required by providing supervision to the subordinate staff in scheduled business system reviews.

Revenue Generation:

Continuously promote the importance of ongoing training and support of the ABM system utilizing

staff members at billable rates.

Advisory Council:

Serve as required on the ABM Board of Advisors.

Policy Development:

Responsible for appraising, updating, and creating material for:

·        Operations

·        Business Systems

·        Purchasing

·        Authorized Manufacturers Program/Maintenance Pricing Manual

·        Information Manual

External Relations:

Conduct all business with outside agents in a professional, positive manner.

Supplier Relations:

Foster harmonious work relationships with suppliers.  Engage in fair negotiation practices.  Seek highest quality and service standards at all times.  Communicate necessity of cost efficiency to ensure department’s operation as a positive revenue source.


Maintain and guard the confidentiality of all information encountered during the course of the workday.

Special Projects:

Provide support for any special projects, as assigned by your Supervisor.   These special projects, at the determination of your Supervisor, may or may not become part of this position’s primary responsibility.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree


Must possess a minimum of 10 years of proven work experience in a leadership role within the HVAC Industry.
