Job Overview:

The Omni Director of Merchandise Planning & Allocation is responsible for driving sales, margin and turn for assigned area of business across both channels (stores and online). The Director is responsible for ensuring channel specific inventory optimization to maximize sales. The Director will aggregate the financial plan and forecast across assigned area of business to ensure they support and deliver company goals. The Director will need to provide analytics and guidance to the Omni DMMs on strategies and tactics to achieve targets and troubleshoot disconnects while aggressively pursuing growth initiatives. The Director will need to drive toward optimal inventory composition and level by channel and location and manage the sku count plan for BCOM assortment for assigned area of responsibility. The Director will need to lead teams to develop the optimal fulfillment strategy for assigned area of business. The Director must lead an engaged workforce by simplifying work, driving standardization and ensuring empowerment of employees.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and manage assortment and inventory optimization strategy initiatives in both channels (stores and online) driven by analytics.

• Ensure com and TSL are planned and managed to appropriate growth rates.

• Oversee and guide insight and analytics to drive and maximize opportunities and minimize risk at the vendor level.

• Oversee seasonal plan development by vendor inclusive of sales, margin, receipt flow and turn.

• Identify global in-season business opportunities / liabilities supported by analytics, and lead planners through the analysis.

• Direct pre-market analysis.

• Understand, recognize and react to regional and locational customer needs.

• Drive and manage the quarterly hindsighting process.

• Prepare and deliver the statistical portion of the strategy for senior management review.

• Manage the forecast of sales and markdowns by vendor and by channel (as well as provide reforecasts based on back order, cancellations, CS, fill rate and return rate).

• Review and approve the monthly ROF in collaboration with the Omni DMM.

• Reconcile the bottom-up vs. the top down targets, and provide direction to team to adjust and achieve goals.

• Coach, grow and develop the planning team in partnership with other Directors and the GVP/VP.

• Travel to the stores when necessary and informs the team regarding takeaways from the visits.

• Manage and inform the GVP/VP on sku count planning for BCOM assortment by assigned area of the business.

• Be the first line of communication for the Market/Trade merchandise teams and stores to vet out genuine opportunities and liabilities.

• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.



• 4 year College Degree required.

• Demonstrated skill at balancing multiple projects and making good decisions regarding prioritization.
