Director of Investor Relations; St. Paul, MN
H.B. Fuller is seeking an experienced Director of Investor Relations, based in St. Paul, MN, to assist the CFO and CEO in all of the Company’s investor relations strategic activities. The investor relations position is accountable for ensuring that the company is properly and strategically positioned within the investor and analyst community by creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message on behalf of the company, and for monitoring and presenting to management the perceptions of the investor and analyst community regarding the company's performance and strategy. The primary objective of the Director, Investor Relations is to craft a holistic investment message and communication strategy and execute that strategy to educate investors and sell-side analysts. The IR function also leads all facets of the quarterly earnings process, analyzes street models to understand expectations, distills analyst and press commentary about the industry, the company and competitors for internal distribution and develops and continuously cultivates a list of targeted investors.
This position will report to the CFO and be collaborate in achieving the Investor relations goals of the company.
The Director of Investor Relations will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
Maintaining and enhancing the image and reputation of H.B. Fuller to the investor community through conversation and various financial and operational information presentations, both public and internal.
Increasing and maintaining the stock value through increasing shareholder base and awareness.
Principle advisor to the CFO and CEO for shaping the external and internal message of the Company’s goals, objectives and image.
Communicate with shareholders and analysts on the Company’s financial results, initiatives and other issues as they arise.
Build investor confidence in the company’s vision to deliver shareholder value
Build and maintain a powerful reputation through clear and consistent two-way communication
Manage relationships with analysts, investors, and individual shareholders
Provide market insights to the Executive management team, including financial trends, shareholder concerns, competitor actions, and anything that might impact the company
Oversee and manage quarterly earnings calls as well as preparation of the Annual Report
Create and present material used in analyst / investor conferences, quarterly conference calls, Board of Director meetings, Management Forums and other internal and external presentations as needed.
Work with Transfer Agent and NYSE personnel on various issues, such as thrift plans, shareholder concerns and market developments.
Research various issues for CEO and CFO.
Maintain Shareholder information web pages.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; MBA strongly preferred
10 years progressive responsibility in finance with a publicly traded company
Minimum 5 years in a senior investor relations role
Ability to travel up to 25%, mostly within U.S. but some international
A clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling and metrics used by investors and sell-side analysts to project a company’s performance and stock value
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, a well-developed network, and the ability to manage external relationships in the professional investor community
A highly ethical individual with a clear and thorough understanding of Regulation FD and all applicable securities rules and regulations
An in-depth understanding of the financial and capital markets and the ability to establish new relationships quickly, both internally and externally
