Our Opportunity

As the Digital Director of Technology, you will

continually raise the bar on innovation, creativity, and imagination in all areas of digital work for Larson Juhl.

We are looking for a motivated IT professional who loves processes and systems to support our growing IT function. The successful candidate will have a can-do spirit and contribute to our digital strategy. This position will be the liaison between Marketing, IT, and outsourced services to convey business needs and requirements into technical concepts and solutions.

This role will provide system training, technical platform activity coordination, and will ensure a high degree of system availability and reliability.

Must live, breathe, think, and conceptualize in the digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a digital design and production team to produce high quality visual and interactive mobile/web experiences.

Use an understanding of best practices associates with a successful and innovative retail website and eCommerce enterprise.

This role will have the primary responsibility of developing the vision, goals, strategies, and tactics to drive step-change adoption of and engagement with new digital tools to deliver long-term value.

Understand and interpret competitor offerings, customer feedback, site metrics and usability reports to create user-centered designs.

Communicate concepts through sketches, diagrams, wireframes, visual comps, and interactive prototypes.

Maintains and enforces direction for digital media, ensuring strong associated KPIs while following established brand voice.

Work with cross-functional teams to manage and deliver design assets on time, as well as champion the best possible user experience for the brand.

Provide technical services and assistance in implementing IT Digital platforms like CRM, PIM, CMS (for brand websites), DAM, SRM (Social Relationship Management), and other related technology platforms.

Partner with business leaders and Marketing throughout the organization to assist them on their digital journey and business growth.

Become the IT Single point of contact for all Marketing, Digital and Customer Engagement initiatives.

Lead cross-functional teams to drive digital engagement and improve the customer experience.

Partner with outside vendors to deliver services, technology and platforms to the business.

Review new technologies and trends to keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital platforms.

Partner with product and analytics teams to synthesize complex web data, product performance and voice of customer data to form actionable insights to accelerate growth.

Key Requirements:

A Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of previous experience in IT, eCommerce, and/or digital space is required.

Strong understanding of technical constraints and specifications for designing platform-specific mobile design assets

Expertise in best practices in design for mobile and web

Be a leader that can guide a team of designers, providing feedback and direction

ERP integration experience preferred.

Hands on experience highly desired.

Strong project management and excellent communication skills.

Critical thinking skills to analyze requirements and propose system and process based solutions.

Understanding of cloud implementation CMS is desired.

Previous experience in consumer goods or retail is strongly preferred.

Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical levels of the organization is a must.

Ability to meet aggressive deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
