This business development director performs/leads all tasks essential to the identification, qualification, shape and capture of new business opportunities in Space and related ground domains within key elements of the intelligence community; also leveraging core NGMS technologies into adjacent space/ground markets/opportunities. This role includes planning, coordination, and primary contributions to the LRSP as well as creation, influence, and leveraging all investments for the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This director works in close partnership with the INS BU Vice President to form and implement strategies that leverage capabilities across the portfolio in National Payloads (NP), Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, & Dissemination (TCPED) of RF and related Intelligence systems. The Selected candidate is responsible to pro-actively collaborate with other NG Sectors, Advanced Technology functions, and all other senior INS directors, as well as provide leadership for all BD processes as defined in the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Candidate is the primary POC for all tracking, assessment, and reporting of BD metrics and leveraging contributions of the BD staff. This director must effectively communicate at all levels of both NGC internal and customer organizations, including executive management. Location: Baltimore, MD or Aurora, Colorado (dependent on selected candidate).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* BS Degree in technical or relevant business discipline

* An active TS/SCI clearance with 5-10 years of experience with restricted space systems and/or related sensors and processing;* Complex Software and Systems Engineering; Expertise in at least two of four key portfolio attributes (Hardware National Payloads, Software TCPED, IC & Adjacent Missions, and NGAS Space Systems)* Broad understanding and current relationships with customers spanning the Intelligence Community, Prime Contractors, and domain vendors/suppliers.

* Credentials across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP strategy, identification, qualification, capture, bid, and keep sold activities)* This Director requires knowledge of Space based RF challenges, government acquisition/requirements and procurement process.

* Proven skills as a respected team leader and with strong communication and influence management skills

* Proven collaboration skills

* Experience in business marketing/coordination and submission of responsive proposals with an ability to build and lead a teams with a vision for success and capable of delegating responsibilities to the appropriate team members

* US Citizenship is required.

* Travel required estimated at 30-40% of time.

* Active TS/SCI clearance is required to commence employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Extensive program management or Systems Engineering experience;* Previous Experience in Military or Customer Organization;* Solid Northrop Grumman/customer/industry understanding;* Experience in all INS portfolio areas; 10-15 years in the restricted space community;* Working knowledge and customer contacts in adjacent agencies and organizations;* Technical graduate degree a plus Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
