EOE/M/F/D/V The Director of Business Development will have three primary goals: • New Market Growth: Refine and execute growth strategies to establish and grow Vision Research’s share in the premium, high-speed end of machine vision in the Americas • Channel Development: Develop the necessary channels to market to support the new market growth • Future Innovation: Leverage customer and market insights to create business cases for new product development The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams and will acquiring new customers through identification, prioritization, strategic analysis, and sales plan development/execution. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Provide strong leadership through targeted selling, new market expansion and customer driven innovation for the high-speed machine vision market • Work collaboratively across various functions and departments, particularly with Engineering and Product Management, in developing business opportunities to drive relevant innovation, partnerships, and resource investments/alignment. • Compile market insights to develop business plans, profit margin analysis, and business risk assessments that lead to sustainable profitable growth results. • Identify, monitor, and research market conditions/trends for new business opportunities as well as present learnings that drive necessary recommendations and action plans to deliver new business opportunities.

Job Requirements
Position Requirements: Necessary Skills/Talents • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, or related field. MBA strongly preferred • 10-15 years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, and/or sales leadership • Demonstrated ability to express and embrace an entrepreneurial spirit • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment • Ability to present findings and recommendations succinctly and accurately through oral and written communications • Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret data • Highly motivated with strong organization and time management skills to operate under minimal direct supervision • Ability to prepare and effectively present a business plan • Technical knowledge of digital imaging, camera technology, optical systems is required • Existing knowledge of high speed imaging systems highly desirable • Good English oral and written communication skills are required • US Citizenship required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
