Kelly Services is seeking a\u00a0Director of Business Development\u00a0who is passionate about sales and marketing and holds a background in Early Clinical Development for a top clinical client based out of Cypress, CA! We are seeking candidates from various demographic locations.! This is a fully remote opportunity with 50% travel. The ideal candidate must be technically proficient and knowledgeable about the clinical trials process and will seek out new business and new clients within an assigned territory, therapeutic area, or Trial Phase. Preference will be shown to candidates with demonstrated success at a small to mid-size CRO in the past. Project Management Experience is a plus!\r
MUST HAVE:\r
\r
\tMust be technically proficient and knowledgeable about the clinical trials process\r
\tDirect sales experience in a CRO industry\r
\t3-5 years in a CRO and/or pharmaceutical industry dealing with clinical research\r
\tMust be able to travel regularly (50% travel) by air to assigned geographic territories as well as tradeshows several times per year\r
\tMust be able to create effective PowerPoint presentations, market, and present to clients. Exceptional marketing and communication skills are necessary for this role.\r

Job Requirements:\r
\r
\tAchieve annual sales targets\r
\tAchieve number of expected client interactions\r
\tMaintain proper updating of all accounts, leads, contacts, and opportunities in the sales database\r
\tDevelop sales territory and gain new clients\r
\tPresent & promote the company's services appropriately and professionally with clients and at conferences, meetings and tradeshows\r
\tPresent RFPs to the Contracts and Operations teams, supporting proposal development throughout the process\r
\tAssist and/or prepare quotes and/or contracts, as needed\r
\tLead the bid defense preparation process\r
\tLead presentations for client TCs, WebEx, and face-to-face meetings\r
\tAssist and/or prepare White Papers and other targeted promotional and/or educational material for clients\r
\tFollow up on outstanding action items from client meetings, pulling together info and input from various departments and team members\r
\tConduct thorough and smooth handover of awarded studies from BD to the Operations teams, staying involved as needed\r
\tLead the contracting process (with support from the Contracts team) for awarded studies, ensuring timely contracting of trials prior to study start\r
\tAnalyze the market within assigned territory, therapeutic area, or Trial Phase, presenting sales forecasts for his/her territory, client-specific strategies, and overall market situation in terms of services, costs, delays\r
\tPrepare & present action plans for all clients within territory\r
\r
Job Qualifications:\u00a0\r
\r
\tBS or BA degree in Marketing or Clinical Research\r
\t3-5 years or more in CRO and pharmaceutical industry dealing with clinical research\r
\tExperience in business development, sales, and marketing, 5 years minimum\r
\tComputer Programs, proficient in:\r

\t\tMicrosoft Outlook\r
\t\tMicrosoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)\r
\t\tSharePoint\r
\t\tSalesforce.com\r
