We are currently seeking a Director II, Corporate Accounting. This position will report to the AVP, Corporate Accounting and will manage a team. This position will be responsible for managing financial reporting to the Company’s parent, Dai-ichi Life. This will include coordination of the reporting process as well as review of information obtained from various segments/functional areas. In addition, this role will be responsible for coordination and response to questions and analysis requests from the Dai-ichi accounting team.

This position will oversee direct reports with responsibility for various accounting areas including debt and equity, as well as ownership of the Company’s consolidation rules. In addition to this position will manage direct reports with the responsibility for the accounting, administration, and reporting of 2 operating segments.

Responsibilities will include the following:

Manage Parent Financial Reporting

Manage Stable Value & Corporate & Other segment accounting/reporting

Manage general corporate accounting processes

Perform ad hoc analysis and support as needed

Staff development and oversight

Qualifications:

5-7 years relevant accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance

CPA required

Insurance industry experience a plus

Previous management experience preferred

Ability to take ownership, work independently, make decisions and interact with all levels of management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be organized and able to effectively management multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Ability to work closely with various departments throughout the organization
