Provides leadership, direction and strategies for operations engineering and electrical/controls engineering. Scope typically encompasses mechanical and process engineering, control systems, project engineering and reliability analysis/support. Plays a key role in managing process safety improvement, capital planning and system reliability and improvement.


* Actively participates, as member of the leadership team, in development of Southwest Gathering’s strategic and operational plans. * Establishes department-specific objectives aligning with Logistics’ targets for safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and efficiency. * Asset Optimization. Leads initiatives to capitalize on opportunities to improve profitability through asset optimization (consistent performance and improved utilization). Works with Operations personnel to effectively resolve technical issues. * Identify and Manage Risks. Supports Operations to identify, mitigate and manage risks associated with technical aspects of * operating all assets through various methods including hazard analysis and general risk assessment. * Project Execution. Ensures that projects executed by the Technical Services group are delivered safely, on time and on budget while following applicable standards and project methodology. * Continuous Improvement. Directs technical assessment of new technologies to continually improve the safety, compliance and profitability of Operations. Leads team to identify opportunities and design solutions. * Operations Support. Leads the Technical Services group to provide outstanding customer service to the Operations groups on a daily basis. * Manages Technical Services budget. Exercises financial stewardship to control expenditures. May have joint fiscal accountability with other departments for turnarounds and capital projects. * Manages staff. Ensures personnel are resourced and trained to successfully perform engineering activities. Initiates selection,promotion and corrective actions when appropriate; accountable for fair and uniform application of human resources policies. * Oversees career paths and succession planning.


* Minimum undergraduate degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or other relevant technical discipline required. * Minimum 10 years’ engineering experience with at least 5 years’ supervisory/management experience is required
