Position Description

Position is responsible for strategic leadership of our private label (McKesson Brands) pricing and cost management function and is a key owner of profitability for our $1B program. Visionary position which includes senior and executive level exposure within the organization.

Elements of role include development and implementation of the private label cost and pricing strategy and management of program profitability across multiple markets including Primary Care, Extended Care, E-Commerce, and Health Systems. Process leadership with an \easy to do business with\ mentality. Manages multiple team members, establishes guidelines and ongoing metrics associated with cost / price management, and is involved in future resource planning and definition of the function's evolution. Individual must present in a confident manner to a range of audiences and be a credible leader.

Key Responsibilities (List five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order):

Develop a best in class pricing management function. Ongoing focus on customers and their experience. Consistently identify ways to become more efficient and customer friendly.
Lead McKesson Brand cost and pricing strategy across all markets and associated supporting processes for implementation and maintenance
Provide leadership in relation to utilizing business levers to drive growth and profitability. Lead associated initiatives, planning and forecasting.
Manage a team that is responsible for developing pricing across multiple markets. Scope resources on an ongoing basis as business and markets change.
Manage product cost requests for customer bids & RFPs. Implementation and management of over 1,000 cost contracts.
Ongoing monitoring and communication of competitiveness within market(s). Development of competitive cost database.

Minimum Requirements

8 years finance or accounting experience including 5 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

Previous management experience and demonstrated ability to build and develop a team
Proven leadership experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives
Exceptional analytical and data management skills
Experience building and maintaining pricing strategies and models with successful implementation
Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication to interact effectively across all levels
Must be able to work with internal and external data
Must be able to manage priorities in a demanding position while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Excel advanced level proficiency

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Healthcare experience
Private label experience
Distribution experience
Access intermediate level proficiency
Experience with Tableau

Education

MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
