Job Description

The Director of Pre-Sales Engineer

will be based in San Jose, CA

and will serve as the principal consultant to analyze and develop enterprise technology solutions in large/complex environments, and collaborate with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Supports Business Development and Sales to secure design wins and assists in joint sales calls

Proactively scopes technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions

Assists in planning sales strategy

Establish close technical relationship with customer accounts

10 years of experience in sales engineering role that focuses on business-to-business, large/strategic customer segments, and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.

Awareness of the market dynamics and products in highly competitive enterprise and cloud computing market segments.

Experience in end user customer environments, in hands-on or management positions for cloud, server and storage, or network technologies
