JOB DESCRIPTION:

Leads & Develops Team

Hires, develops and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

Responsible for ongoing organizational design and development to align with evolving business needs and capabilities. Expereinced in organizational design, talent development, coaching, recruiting and performance management.

Leads strategic efforts involving expertise in marketing and communications, as assigned.

Develops a deep understanding Abbott therapy areas, business plans, products, and the customers and patients who benefit from our solutions. Develops an understanding of competitor products, marketing and promotional tactics and the nuances of different geographies; and sales landscape and geographic nuance by therapy area to ensure organization’s work products enable sales.

Effectively manages, adjusts and adheres to requirements associated with large and complex budget across functions, therapy areas and geographies. Coordinates the budget strategy and manages the budget allocation and reconciliation process for the department, across multiple cost-centers

Accountable to senior marketing and sales management for collaboration and team work products.

Defines and Deploys Successful Digital Communications and Digital Ecosystem Strategies and Tactics

Leads strategic efforts and directs initiatives to deliver sales enabling digital ecosystem incuding mobile learning platforms and content, marketing content management systems, customer education platforms and other digital tools intended to enable sales. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to establish priorities and alignment, define and deliver implementation roadmaps, gather end-user and key stakeholder feedback,, ensure utilization and use metrics to assess the effectiveness of platforms and tools.

Sets long-term vision for content strategy across digital platforms aligned with needs of targeted therapy areas and corporate brand initiatives. Uses research and metrics to influence changes in strategy within marketing teams and assess effectiveness as the basis for continuous improvement.

Oversees team and instill commercial focus to develop and execute measurable, multi-channel communications strategies, digital campaigns and sales enabling events to support the commercialization of Abbott solutions across the globe in collaboration with product marketing.

Directs Customer Engagement Experiences that Enable Sales

Leads team to efficiently identify, plan and execute key stakeholder conventions, events and education programs across therapy areas and geographies, aligned with business needs. Builds Abbott and therapy brand through exceptional program execution with high attention to detai and quality.

Directs the team in ways to maximize the inherent value of customer events, educational programs, conventions and trainings as a channel to reach, engage and educate our stakeholders. Ensures adoption of best practices and global consistency in process and strategy across therapies and geographies.

Measures and applies program effectiveness metrics as basis for continuous improvement.

Provide Governance and Policy Direction

Ultimately responsible for the reporting of metrics, budget analysis and program impact indicators to support business needs and regulations.

Identifies, develops, leads and supervises vendor relationships and contractors as needed for different projects and programs.

Recommends, interprets and implements corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
