ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, GO Projects role reports directly to the Senior Director, GO North America R&D and is accountable for the following:

Identify project opportunities across GO that can deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies, sustainability improvements, etc.

Lead/Support local and global projects as overall Project Manager, and serve as part of Project Management teams supporting key GO initiatives. These initiatives are often cross-functional and regularly include multiple GO constituents, Business Technology and others

Ensure communication, coordination and alignment with senior stakeholders in GO and senior stakeholders on key initiatives in the GO project portfolio.

Understand the interdependencies of Pfizer's Enabling and other Divisional functions and groups and ensure clear and open communications across all stakeholder organization

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage large scale local and global strategic projects with significant impact to Global Operations and stakeholder organizations

Mobilize cross-functional GO teams and external vendors in scoping, planning, presenting, staffing and execution of assigned projects

Partner with the senior GO Leaders, BT partners and other stakeholders to review project(s), identify interdependencies, deploy the appropriate resources/skill set mix between project managers, internal and external subject matter experts

Partner and actively contribute building long-term engagements and relationships with GO's enabling function and business partners

Design and implement innovative approaches to problem resolution, performance improvement, and timely decision making

Manage, track and present on project progress against critical metrics and report on financials, variances in time and scope, risks and trends to senior GO management on a regular basis and manage expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

10 - 15 years work experience

3-5 years of project management experience; PMP certification preferred

Bachelor's degree in a business, finance or technical field; MBA, CPA and/or significant project management experience preferred

Experience successfully navigating a large organization and managing multiple stakeholder interests on global, complex projects

Applicable/transferable experience: Project management experience, business strategy / consulting experience or exposure, and/or experience leading large, diverse project teams on a global basis

Demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Willingness to work hard and take direction-but also creatively solve problems for which the answers aren't always obvious

Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues in all functional areas, including Senior Leadership

Excellent oral, written and overall communication skills

Outstanding project management and organizational skills

Ability to influence and motivate others without express authority

Demonstrates highly developed team leadership skills and the ability to manage internal / external resources to achieve project objectives Ability to identify business issues/opportunities and to frame business questions

Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information

Track record of strong networking/influencing skills and for working collaboratively with others across functions and markets

Embraces, supports and leads change

Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Broad knowledge of the Pfizer Finance & Business Operations organization
