Your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working of multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges.

You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial gurus. You'll keep senior management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.

In this role, you will be the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) leader for Data Centers, Networking and Corporate Engineering elements of the global Technical Infrastructure (TI) function.

You will partner with executive leadership from both engineering teams and Finance to drive effective and efficient operations, along with development, growth and continued industry leading innovation in these key business areas, acting as a key translator between the Finance and Technical Infrastructure leadership teams.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.


Partner with Engineering leadership teams to evaluate long-term projections, investment strategies, and new technology and product launches; coordinate strategic conversations, and optimize resource allocation.

Oversee all aspects of annual, quarterly and monthly Data Center planning, budgeting and reporting processes.

Drive recommendations for business prioritization, resource optimization and and efficiency improvements; define and promote analytics agenda, leveraging datasets to inform business recommendations.

Partner closely with other Finance teams including Accounting and Controls, Internal Audit, Treasury, Financial Operations to ensure financial requirements are appropriately supported.

Oversee development agenda, including promoting financial and technical skills building, setting forward-thinking objectives, collaborating across Finance functions and providing opportunities and coaching on effective business partnering.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience.

15 years of finance and business experience, with experience in core finance processes in an engineering environment.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA degree.

Experience in working with components of Cloud based technical infrastructures including data centers, servers and corporate IT, and data center construction experience.

Experience in a global scale engineering environment, planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level.

Experience in business partnerships, with the ability to grow C-level relationships, and act as a trusted translator between Engineering and Finance leaderships.

Passion to grow complex engineering platforms with ability to adapt to new approaches in a fast-paced environment; ability to lead an develop a Finance team in a technical environment.

Self-starter, strategically focused, with attention detail, good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
