Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. As a member of the Semi-Custom Business Unit within AMD, your execution will help bring to life customers special requirements for designs to be used in a broad range of products, from tablets to gaming consoles to servers and more. As a member of the front-end design/integration team, you will work closely with the architecture, IP design, and Physical Design teams to achieve first pass silicon success.

This position is for a Director Product Management, in the Semi-Custom Business Unit, reporting to a CVP/GM managing a ~$1B annual business fraction of SCBU. The Director Product Management will play a critical role in supporting the CVP/GM as he leads the next phase of growth of that sub-business unit and takes responsibility of a new technology innovation domain. Peer Staff level is composed of Architecture Lead, Product business owner(s), Product ecosystem lead, Business development lead, and new technology partnership development lead.

As Director of Product Management, your primary functions will be: Business development, Executive Alignment, High impact Program Management, Communications and Strategic Analysis, to ensure organizational alignment to business and technical goals towards new products in the pipeline.


- Identify risks to the business and clearly communicate goals to executive stakeholders, ensure processes for projecting revenue and costs are consistent.

- Research, prioritize, and follow-up on incoming issues addressed to senior executives, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature, working with Legal and Finance leads as needed to align to company quarterly goals.

- Set goal metrics for new business development, and take active contribution in that effort to take the business to the next step

- Partner with broader business development team around AMD to establish and manage relationships both internally and externally, forming strategic partnerships to support the business.

- Prepare updates and organize information for reports, correspondence, presentations, budgets for SCBU GM or SVP reviews.

- Keep CVP/GM of business unit appraised in timely fashion of deviation vs. plans (program management, financial, communication, technology).

- Support CVP/GM to develop technology partnerships and innovation in domain of self-driving vehicle and mixed reality computer vision


- BS and/or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering from a top university or college.

- Technical experience working with leading edge SOC IPs that make up high performance gaming devices (CPU, GPU, Video Codec, high speed memory, audio processors, ideally neural network processing, camera processing). Demonstrated ability to learn about new technologies quickly especially as it pertains to computer vision.

- Successful business and engineering experience in leading complex SOC designs through concept and product success.

- Experience in business development with a major technology company, closure of contractual terms and conditions, IP licensing terms for a high impact to the company

- 3 years of experience in senior product management role for a business unit- managing external and internal marketing strategy, as well as product definition, major customer executive interactions and product lifecycle.

- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

- Able to work quickly under pressure.

- Strong project management skills with analytical and business acumen - reflected in successful project completions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong grammar, spelling and proofreading.

- Highly collaborative with ability to work with executives and stakeholders across all functions . Experience effectively working cross-functionally in a heavily matrixed organization.

- Self-starter/entrepreneurial.

- Proven ability to use discretion when working with confidential information.

- Able to adapt to competing demands with the highest level of service and response.


- MBA preferred.

- 5 years of experience in technical and business strategy for a top-20 silicon vendor

- Experience in self-driving vehicle computer vision, or mixed reality computer vision technology solution stack development

- Boxborough, MA AMD Site preferred
