Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide executive direction and oversight of the daily operations and interfaces with multiple VA Medical Centers (VAMC) in the assigned Region to meet the goals of the VA Community Care Network Contract. Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with all VA Medical Center (VAMC) leaders in their regionProvides operational management oversight of Veteran Engagement Officers (VEO) and their respective markets within the region Identification of VAMC’s top priorities and assessment of local health care market nuancesMonitoring and pro-actively responding to changes in the local health care market to maintain balanced workload and access to careBuild trusting relationships in local communitiesEducate and train the VA and the community Help to identify cost containment strategiesProvide escalation resolution for the VA Coordinate with Veteran Service Organizations (VSO)Assist Veterans with access/status issuesProvide local analytics on care delivery in the communityOrganizing and/or participating in periodic meetings with VAMC leadership to include onsite visitsCandidates must be comfortable pursuing a permanent role that is contingent on future award status with client. Travel up to 50% (potentially up to 70% in the beginning) Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree 7 years of operational leadership/management experience 10 years of experience in business analysis and/or business requirement and/or business/operational process documentation5 years of Military and/or VA experienceStrong reporting acuity; demonstrated ability to use data to accomplish goalsTravel up to 50% of the time (Initially it could be up to 70%) Intermediate level of proficiency with MS OfficePreferred QualificationsMaster’s DegreeProgram and/or Project Management experience Experience in the healthcare industry Familiarity with any or all of the following: Tableau, OnBaseExperience with Agile Methodology, Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certified ProcessesAbility to identify and help solve problems that impact the management and direction of the businessExcellent presentation, writing and negotiation skillsSuperior time management skills and strong attention to detailDemonstrated good interpersonal and relationship skillsCareers with Optum.
