If you answered \yes\ to these questions, please keep reading!We are currently seeking a Director of Benefits to lead our Benefits department. In this role you will you will get to provide strategic oversight and management for the company's health, wellness, qualified and non-qualified financial plans, work/life programs, leave of absence and workers' compensation programs. We are looking for a strong functional expert to drive the Benefits strategy and partner with other HR functions to champion the culture, bring in the most innovative people, and develop approaches to grow and keep them at CarMax.This position is a key member of the HR leadership team and reports directly to the Head of Total Rewards. Responsibilities:\u2022 Own the overall design, administration, implementation and communication of all associate benefit programs, including Health, Wellness, qualified and non-qualified Financial Plans, Work/Life programs, (Leaves of) Absence and Workers Compensation programs. \u2022 Lead and develop a team of best-in-class Benefits professionals. \u2022 Monitor benefit trends and industry best practices, evaluate plan designs, advise and make recommendations to senior leadership with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of associates while maximizing the value proposition of our benefits offering. \u2022 Lead negotiation and contracting with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and consultants for services, products, and plan administration.\u2022 Manage program financials and utilization, prepare annual budgets and track all benefits related expenses.\u2022 Ensure that plans and programs are administered in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensure that all benefit plan filings (such as Form 5500), notices, and audits are performed accurately and timely to maintain plan qualification and compliance.\u2022 Analyze current and developing legislation, benefits and absence-related regulations and other environmental factors impacting plan performance and program competitiveness\u2022 Lead preparation of key decisions for Governance Committees\u2022 Prepare and execute plan documents, benefit agreements and amendments with legal counsel. Provide instructions to carriers, trustees and other administrative agencies as required. Position Requirements Qualifications:\u2022 7 years of experience in Benefit Plan design, strategy, administration and management. (e.g., Health, Wellness, qualified and non-qualified Financial Plans, Work/Life programs, Leaves of Absence and/or Workers Compensation) \u2022 5 years of people management experience, with a preference for experience in leading other people managers\u2022 5 years of experience in managing benefits vendors including contracting, expense management, and accountability for performance\u2022 Previous experience in communicating benefits plans to a dispersed, field-based workforce.\u2022 Experience with self-funded plans and a demonstrated track record of success in plan design, administration and cost effectiveness.\u2022 Working knowledge of federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA and FMLA.\u2022 Experience with developing materials and presenting to governance committees preferred\u2022 Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation preferred
