Lead workstreams to apply statistical research and custom analysis of integrated healthcare and market data, interpret results, and make recommendations based on analytical findings to business areas in support of healthcare business initiatives that drive short- and long-term objectives.

Fundamental Components:

Responsible for the successful development and delivery of analytical solutions to meet business needs, leveraging additional technical DS resources where required (including data engineering and modeling). Extract, collect, analyze and interpret complex and varied healthcare, financial, marketing and other data to create business insights that drive decision-making. Investigate new data sources and work with technical and business SMEs to integrate into the overall DS data ecosystem. Translate technical DS solutions into terms understandable by less-technical business partners, and support with integration of DS products/recommendations into day-to-day business processes across the Aetna enterprise. Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects and assure the data integrity; assists with defining and validating processes for data cleansing, integration, and transformation. Lead the development, validation and execution of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools that answer applied research and business questions for internal and external clients. Turn analyses into business/customer solutions, using a range of tools, including data visualization software (Tableau) PPT/in-person presentations, action plans, etc.


MBA in Finance, Statistics, Marketing, Management or related field.

Minimum 2 years of analytics experience either in job offered or as Manager. Must have 2 yrs experience building predictive and descriptive analytics, building statistical models, integrating multiple data sources, and utilizing one or several of the following: R, SQL, Hadoop, SAS or other language suited for statistical analysis of large datasets.
