Teledyne Marine is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join its team to assist in the development of real world applications. The ideal candidate will be able to develop algorithms in Matlab and then implement them in C on a microprocessor or DSP (Digital Signal Processor).   He/She must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team environment.


Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years related work experience
Strong understanding of communication theory and digital communications
Expertise in embedded C programming and knowledge of assembly and optimization
Ability to develop Real time firmware for embedded processors, while also complying with good programming practices
Working knowledge of MATLAB
Experience troubleshooting real-time hardware systems
Testing on local waters may be required
Clear, effective communication skills and the ability to clearly capture knowledge
Must be able to travel when required to support equipment and sales opportunities (travel will be limited)
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen 
Advanced degree or minor in Mathematics or Physics
Experience working with US Navy
Experience with acoustic and sonar products
Experience programming Texas Instruments DSPs
Ability to obtain Security Clearance
