Desktop Support Technician

Job Summary:

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, an EMCOR Group Company is looking for a Desktop Support/Jr. Systems Administrator. This role has become available as expansion to staff to a company that is currently supporting 300 office and field users. In order to be successful in this role as a Desktop Support Technician/Jr. Systems Administrator will need to have at least 2 years of experience installing and supporting networks. Helpdesk management, escalations and ticket management, on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, server hardware, setup LAN and WAP, setup VOIP phone and extension, LAN troubleshooting and all related IT sanctioned peripherals. In addition, experience working in the Lotus Notes and Domino environment is a plus but not required. This position will be located at our main office and will required to go to different construction job sites on an as needed basis for computer and network support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Support staff of 300 office and field users

Install and support all computing devices

Helpdesk Management, escalations, and ticket management

On-site installation, implementation and maintenance

Troubleshoot and/or repair desktops, notebooks, server hardware

LAN troubleshooting and all related IT sanctioned peripherals

Qualifications:

MS Windows 10, MS Windows Server 2012 R2 and Active Directory Management

Knowledge of SQL server 2008/2014 is desirable

Knowledge of VMWare and Virtualization is desirable

Server, PC, Printer setup in a network environment

Knowledge of Veeam is desirable

Apple IOS

MacBook, iPad, iPhone, etc.)

iPhone setup and troubleshooting experience, Mobile Data Management

MDM)

Executive support experience is desirable

Microsoft Office and Microsoft Applications

Project and Visio)

MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CNA, or Network , A , ITIL certification is desirable
