Teradata is seeking an experienced data scientist to join the Technology & Innovation Office. As a member of the team, you will work collaboratively to extract value from large datasets using advance predictive modeling techniques. This role will explore and analyze datasets, construct models, and ascertain their performance. Key Responsibilities: • Explore datasets and develop models in accordance to business priorities • Collaborate with data science team to evaluate model and data • Manage Design History File, Meeting Minutes, Risk Management Files, and project documentation • Investigate modern tools and data science products • Track and explore emerging data science tools and algorithms • Conduct comparative analysis of data-science technologies • Construct prototype models through a complete data-science workflow, from data acquisition and preparation to model training and performance evaluation • Present model methodology and results to data-scientists and management ','!*!Qualifications Required Skills and Experience • Experience in scalable data science and analytics, including model building, data cleansing, visualization, machine learning algorithms. • Practical in-depth experience with developing scalable, big data models • 3 years of experience writing python, R, SQL, C, C , code related to data analysis and data science • Experience with Data/Science Engineering, Software development, Machine Learning, statistics, Linux systems, GitHub, JIRA • Is effective at managing deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to influence Desired Skills and Education A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. MS degree desired. 2 years of combined technical big data and data science experience is required. This role also requires a demonstrated ability to successfully extract business value from complex data from modeling, excellent communication skills, a willingness to perform data science tasks, and provide guidance to individuals and teams, and can presents ideas and results to industry audiences at multiple levels and in multiple forums. *Our total compensation approach includes a competitive base salary, 401(k), strong work/family programs, and medical, dental and disability coverage.
