Customer Advocacy Insights team is seeking individuals interested in data

science to join our team and help promote a data-driven culture. In order to

achieve our vision of becoming a top 3 NPS insurer, capable of delivering

excellent experiences to our customers, we will closely partner with teams

across all functions of USCM in order to provide advanced analytical support for

CX initiatives.


This position is focused on building

out data products to help the business better understand our customers, explore

the biggest drivers of customer experience, and develop predictive modeling to enable

strategic decision-making for our leadership. This is an opportunity to be part

of a diverse analytics team and a great fit for a predictive modeler who is

looking to provide value to the insurance business. Data science professionals

Leverages complex customer data

often stored in disparate sources in order to develop data products that enable

a better understand our customers and their behavior.Design and develop data management

solutions to meet technical and business requirements.Researches and develops predictive

analytic solutions. Leverages knowledge to create/design solutions for business

needs.Mines large data sets using

sophisticated analytical techniques to generate insights and inform business

decisionsIdentifies and tests hypotheses,

ensuring statistical significance, as part of building predictive models for

business application.Translates quantitative analyses

and findings into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences, providing a

clear view into interpreting the data.Enables the business to make clear

trade-offs between and among choices, with a reasonable view into likely

outcomes.Customizes analytic solutions to

specific client needs.Responsible for smaller components

of projects of moderate-to-high complexity.Mentor, motivate and train less

experienced staff and peers; may manage internsCollaborate with analytical peers

and counterparts across Personal Insurance to stay on top of overarching Personal

lines trends and Analytics best practicesRegularly engages with the data science

community and participates in cross-functional working groups.


Candidate displays intellectual

curiosity, problem-solving skills, and motivation to work towards becoming a

thought leader in areas of responsibilityBroad knowledge of predictive

analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.Has a value-driven perspective with

regard to understanding of work context and impact.Ability to quickly grasp new

concepts and technologies and adapt to changes and demands in fast-paced,

dynamic environment.Demonstrated ability to exchange

ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.Competencies typically acquired through a Ph.D. degree (in

Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science or other scientific field

of study) and 0-2 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree (scientific

field of study) and 2-4 years of relevant experience or may be acquired through

a Bachelor’s degree(scientific field of study) and 4 years of relevant
