A person holding the position of Accounting Assistant will understand and be able to operate effectively in all areas of the AP Process. This position carries processing responsibilities, and will be assisting AP leadership with coordinating the daily operations of the AP team. They serve as a customer service liaison and will help enforce established policies and guidelines to identify process improvement opportunities. This position will help ensure processing productivity goals are met and internal controls are satisfactorily maintained. An Accounting Assistant I will assist leadership with training initiatives, and will be involved in developing and mentoring staff members. Additionally, they will be required to participate and lead special projects. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Update and maintain lease database
Maintain hard-copy and electronic lease documentation
Review monthly forecast reports and approving rent payments
Reconciling statements to actual payments
Identifying contractual obligations regarding various expense types (Utilities, CAM, TI, Etc\u2026
Establish new leases in all operating systems
Provide customer service to Accounting, practices and property managers.
Coordinate monthly HealthOne funding request.
Lead and coordinate the COID start up process (Acquisitions and Start Ups).
Manage and oversee the lease management during divestitures
Maintain strictest confidentiality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounts payable practices and medical office procedures.
Knowledge of coding and clinic policies on accounts payable.
Skill in use of computer and calculator.
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to prepare records in accordance with detailed instructions.
Ability to work effectively with co-workers as a team member.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to understand and react to specific needs of vendors and physician practices being served.
