Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Scope of Position:

Manage and supervise North America customer service team responsible for inter-company customers including day to day activities of the order management process; inter-company customers include the regions of China, Germany, Japan, and South Africa; lead North America Pricing process

Projects: Customer service/logistics related projects

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Ensure effective coordination of order management process to IATF standards for inter-company customers including order entry, customer correspondence, and transportation

Day to day supervision of North America Customer Service team members (including contractors) responsible for inter-company customers

Develop and maintain customer relationships with the regions

Identify and resolve supply issues working across commercial/manufacturing so as to minimize the impact to the customer

Responsible for training needs for direct reports

Development and implementation of process improvements

Provide support/backup for team members as needed

Lead pricing process for North America Customer Service team after annual price negotiations

Job Requirements:

Travel Requirements: Minimal

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 8-5 pm, however extended hours may be required to support the business

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree

3 years experience in Customer Service or Supply

Required Skills:

Proven experience leading and executing process improvements and change management within a team or organization

Ability to negotiate and resolve issues across multiple functions

Effective problem solver who can work with ambiguity but make sound business decisions

Strong organizational and process skills including the ability to prioritize (own work and those of employees) and the ability to multi-task

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to stay calm in the face of adversity and in a stressful, demanding work environment

Desired Skills:

Past supervision experience a plus but not required

Previous experience with Peoplesoft Supply Chain or a comparable supply chain system

Customer service and/or logistics experience in a similar environment

Proficiency with computer programs like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Knowledge of Corning Environmental Technologies business
