PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

To assist in monitoring and maintaining accurate and efficient front end functions and perform cashiering duties as required ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Primary emphasis in this position is to assist in the supervision of the front end and perform cashier functions. Position follows front end checkout procedures in all transactions, maintaining positive customer relations and expedient processing of all orders. Position assists in supervises the front end policies and procedures, cashier performance, labor control and customer relations. This position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service, social skills/verbal interaction, judgment/decision making, register/scanner operation, reading, lifting, and standing. Position functions and work hours vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Customer Service Manager or person in charge.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates

Monitor and supervise check out procedures to ensure proper product scanning and processing of customer order is accurate, efficient and prompt.

Monitor and supervise the handling of all forms of tender and coupons

Monitor and supervise accurate handling of voids, returns, refunds and exchanges

Assist in front end personnel functions

Assist in monitoring front end safety and security procedures

Perform cashiering duties

Follow all store and department policies and procedures
