Position: Telephone Banking Customer Service Representative
Location: Amherst Center - Williamsville, NY
Hours: Full-time: Monday through Friday - must be available to work between the hours of 6:00am - 9:00pm including Saturday and/or Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Training will be held Full-time Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm beginning on January 2nd for several weeks.
An occasional 10% shift differential is provided, if scheduled to work before 8:00am or after 8:00pm. 

Basic Function:
Service customers' telephone requests for information regarding all deposit products, installment loans and credit cards. Cross-sell Bank products and services to incoming customer service callers to meet their needs and expand their overall relationship with M&T. Identify opportunities to suggest alternative Bank products or services to customers that better suit their needs, to contribute to customer retention.
Responsibilities:
Provide current rates, detailed product information, balances and other pertinent data regarding existing customer accounts. Provide customers with close out information relating to installment loans and credit card accounts. Open accounts, Maintain accounts, completing the appropriate paperwork, stopping payments, processing account freezes and transfers of funds. Service accounts by arranging direct deposits and automatic payment deductions at customers' requests. Assist customers by clarifying account problems, charges, and inquiries. Cross-sell bank products via telephone and fulfill mail requests in order to encourage account openings.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
One year of previous sales and/or customer service experience.
Excellent communication skills with concentration on telephone techniques.

Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Familiarity with the Bank's computer systems and frequently used forms.
