The Role:

Flygt A-C Pump, a Xylem Brand manufacturing some of the world’s largest pumps, seeks to hire a sales engineer to cover the Southeast Region consisting of FL, GA, AL, AR, LA, NC, SC and MS. This position will be responsible for the sales of new pumps and aftermarket services through direct account coverage as well as assisting both direct Xylem branches and our distributor channel partners.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales plan to penetrate new product as well as aftermarket opportunities

Deliver order and sales targets versus budgets.

Train sales channel personnel in custom pump’s product offerings

Deliver aftermarket capability presentations

Motivate and implement growth strategies with distribution channels and Flygt direct sales branches.

Maintain and grow large project funnel in coordination with sales channels

Perform product and technical presentations (lunch and learns )to engineering consultants

Make prospecting calls on consultants, end users, and contractors with distributors and direct sales

Use Sales Force Dot Com to track large projects.

Attend local trade association meetings and conduct training

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Possess Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or related field.

Five (5) years of technical sales experience in the US region working in the water and wastewater, power, and general industry market segments.

Demonstrate proven technical selling and support as well as distributor/sales representative development experiences.

Ability to motivate and inspire supporting sales professionals.

Ability to lead technical presentations to engineers and end users in a variety of industries.

Must have strong technical writing skills, excellent verbal communication and proficient use of Microsoft Office.
