Overview

The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.

Team members support a focus on building strong customer relationships, critical to the success of our customers and to the company.  As part of the customer accounting team, this position authorizes credit and maintains a large customer portfolio.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

Manage a trade credit portfolio of $100 million.

Review credit applications and extend appropriate levels of credit.

Determine customer credit worthiness using financials and D&B.

Proactively monitor and maintain accurate customer credit files.

Facilitate shipment of customer orders currently outside of established credit parameters.

Monitor and identify associated risk.

Develop excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.

Work with customers to remove barriers to payment.

Partner with sales team to resolve credit issues.

Create and prepare monthly reports for presentation to leadership.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business or related major and 5 years of progressive experience in credit and collections or other related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SAP experience, preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong inter-personal skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Innovative thinking, with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Customer focused.

Foreign language a plus.
