This role is a new role within Marketing Operations and will be driving the creation of a Resource Management function. This individual will serve as the sole Resource Manager and will be responsible for developing an optimal approach to successfully manage allocation of shared resources within the Enterprise Marketing organization, initially focused on our Internal Creative Agency resources. This individual will act as a liaison between the Portfolio & Delivery Management and Internal Creative Agency teams to ensure that resources are staffed to successfully execute upon portfolio demands. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the creation of this function by: Establishing a Resource Management methodology to track and monitor resources throughout project lifecycles Developing metrics and reporting that will be used to support on-going resource allocation tracking and identify resource allocation risks Defining key meetings and support forums required to maintain appropriate resource allocations across an ever-changing portfolio Determining a process to quickly identify and account for new hires and contractors Educating the Enterprise Marketing organization on the role of this function in driving efficiency and workload balancing Executing in the day to day by: Developing initial yearly resource plans based on yearly Marketing planning Maintaining knowledge of current and upcoming projects as they relate to resourcing Providing consultative guidance to Portfolio & Delivery Managers when developing timelines and resource approach Leading periodic resource meetings with Portfolio & Delivery Managers and Internal Creative Agency managers to understand impacts to resource needs (new projects, timeline movement, etc.) and facilitate risk/issue mitigations where needed Working with Internal Creative Agency management to gain an understanding of resource capabilities so that optimal allocation recommendations can occur Analyzing and evaluating resource capacity vs. resource demand Assigning and maintaining allocated resources in decided upon system of record Identifying potential instances of over/under utilization and working with business partners to address and solve those issues Proactively identifying future resource allocation pinch points and developing strategies to mitigate risks Escalating non-resolvable issues and risks to Marketing Operations management as required Reviewing work requirements and develop recommendations for adjustments to staffing models Continually reviewing processes and optimizing where needed Required Qualifications 5 or more years of resource management experience; ideally in a creative agency or marketing function Understands marketing workflow and creative skill sets Highly analytical with keen attention to detail Strategic thinker and creative problem solver always looking for most optimal solution Good planner; capability to look around the corner when forecasting needs Calm and comfortable in ever-changing environment Excellent listener Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment Strong relationship builder and enhanced capability to impact and influence at various levels of the organization Impactful and persuasive communicator, both written and orally Results driven with an ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment Focused on professional development and improvement Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Working knowledge of resource management/project management tools Preferred Qualifications 2 years of project/portfolio management experience EducationBachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred Business OverviewCVS Health, through our unmatched breadth of service offerings, is transforming the delivery of health care services in the U.S. We are an innovative, fast-growing company guided by values that focus on teamwork, integrity and respect for our colleagues and customers.
