Location: Hershey, PA

Summary: *

The Project Management Associate will provide departmental and project management support to the North America Regional Technical Solutions (NA RTS) team. This will include coordinating the administrative aspects of multiple projects including Project Plan development and Asset Closure documentation. The Project Management Associate will also monitor capital projects to ensure that capital spending, expense spending, and project closures follow Project Plan and Capital Control requirements.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:*

North America Capital Project Administration: Maintain a listing of all open projects in the North America Region. Track and outlook project expense spending on a monthly basis. Identify projects that have been TECO’d or Closed. Provide weekly capital closure reports showing anticipated and actual project closures. Monitor capital project schedules to ensure that project managers are closing projects per Capital Control guidance.

Asset List Development: Independently or with the assistance of the project manager, develop equipment lists for equipment purchased through capital projects. Using SAP, assign capital spending to the corresponding equipment.

Asset Closure Forms: Assist project managers with collecting asset information including asset numbers, PM numbers, and book values. Develop and submit Asset Closure Forms.

Central Project Filing: Develop and maintain a central Capital Project filing structure in accordance with Performance Driven Project guidelines.

Equipment Purchasing and Expediting: Assist project managers with creating purchase requisitions. Assist project managers with expediting schedule critical equipment.

Vendor Management: Assist project managers with obtaining and maintaining Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA). Assist project managers with ensuring that vendors comply with required ISN certification.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:*

Demonstrates a strong understanding of Capital Project Administration fundamentals. Possesses a strong understanding of the Capital Control Manual. Possesses a working understanding of SAP transactions related to Internal Orders, Cost Centers, and Assets.

Ability to communicate and develop relationships with corporate engineers and project managers, OEM vendors, internal customers, and plant engineering and maintenance personnel.

Provide the appropriate level of mentoring and training to new team members related to capital project closure requirements.

Ability and willingness to work in a team environment with limited supervision.

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.

Strong leadership / interpersonal skills, demonstrated willingness to accept new / challenging assignments.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong PC skills

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma

Minimum 3-5 years of experience of related analytical or operational experience in Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing/ Engineering or like discipline.

Practical knowledge and relevant experience in the areas of Capital Project Management.

Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, SharePoint, SAP

This job has responsibilities that encompass food safety and food quality. Follow food safety and quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operational methods and procedures.
