Responsible for providing system support, administration and problem resolution for systems and hardware supported by the APS Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) team. This includes remote troubleshooting, collaboration with end users, field technicians and other IT teams, technical support during system upgrades and installations, daily ticket administration and fulfillment, and researching, analyzing, and reporting on problem trends. Assists in the preparation of procedural and technical documentation, and for providing coaching and training for other team members. Provides other PACS system support, as needed.
Responsible for supporting a combination of the following systems based on department need:
Processing PACS badging requests, resolution of badge ID issues for access control systems, and overall administration of Access Control and Visitor Management systems.
Provides 7 x 24 support of enterprise access control and video systems deployed at retail locations, corporate facilities, distribution centers and other business groups within the Company.
Problem resolution and system commissioning for enterprise access control and video systems. This includes hardware, software, communication and procedural issues.
Provides full management of the Enterprise Genetec Security Center system as part of the Enterprise PACS and IP Video team. Responsible for handling all PACS badging requests in the Genetec and the legacy Pinnacle systems. Partners with IT, integrators, software vendors, and Company program managers to support projects by assisting with system architectural design, programming, and user training.
Assists with managing all system administration duties, software installations and upgrades for the Enterprise Genetec PACS and IP video system. This includes completing database imports and Genetec system programming to support both card access and IP video projects, assisting with resolving all reported card access and IP video system issues, and managing firmware upgrades for card access and IP video devices. Partners with IT to complete firewall requests and troubleshoot connectivity issues for system devices.
Responsible for troubleshooting system problems and remotely resolving technical and operational issues and when needed, deploying field technicians (Field Services) and/or communicating issues with third party vendors for resolution. Responsible for providing technical support for external service providers and installers during repairs, system upgrades and installations. Ensures new systems are commissioned to Company specifications.
Analyzes and identifies trends for root cause analysis and reports to leadership team.
Is an escalation point to other team members and provides for on call support of critical systems and outages.
Assists Physical Security team with proof of concept and pilot programs for Security systems.
Provides input and suggests improvements to guidelines and procedures, and implements suggestions to enhance the quality of service and support, improving effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Creates and maintains documentation including solution database, procedural manuals, etc. that are used within the department to provide best possible answers for problems. Provides training and coaching for enhanced team performance.
Maintains and applies knowledge of systems and tools necessary to troubleshoot problems.

High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and supporting information management systems, such as physical access control systems.
Knowledge of networking principals and protocols (TCP/IP and IPX) in both LAN and WAN.
Experience in the use of Remedy or similar trouble ticket systems.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects or tasks with varying completion dates.
Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team, with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
Experience working in a team environment and providing support and coaching to team peers.
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve them.
Experience providing customer service and technical support on systems to internal and external customers, and field technicians, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Experience in preparing written business communication.
Bachelor's degree or associate degree in IT or information management.
At least 4 years of experience providing technical support on video and PACS or similar systems.
Experience in business applications and infrastructure technical support.
Data mining and analysis experience.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
Experience with card access & IP Video systems.
Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
